Those are apps that run on top of the operating system — and can be uninstalled, bypassed with a VPN, or circumvented through incognito mode. We configure protection at the operating system level using registry policies, DNS sinkholes, and local group policies. These settings persist even if your child creates a new user account or tries a factory reset.
We currently specialize in Windows PCs and laptops, which is where most kids do their homework and gaming. We configure protection at the deepest system level, which requires hands-on expertise for each operating system. Mac and mobile device support is on our roadmap.
That’s exactly why we exist. The protection we configure requires administrator access to modify — and we set up your child’s account as a standard user. They’d need your admin password to make changes. We’ve built this system specifically because our own kids bypassed every app-based solution we tried.
The setup session typically takes 1-2 hours depending on the number of devices and your family’s specific needs. We handle everything remotely via screen share, walking you through each step and explaining what we’re configuring. You’ll also receive a documentation package with all your credentials and settings.
With our Family Partnership package, simply submit a request through our support system and we’ll update your blocklist within 24 hours (often much faster). For Family Setup clients, we provide documentation so you can make changes yourself, or you can purchase one-time support sessions as needed.
No. We configure the protection, but we don’t have ongoing access to your devices or your child’s browsing history. Your family’s privacy is paramount. The activity reports in our Family Partnership package are generated locally on your device and shared only with you.
